Graduate students:
RIKEN is primarily a research institution and does not award PhD degrees.
However, you can join my laboratory within the Department Mathematical Engineering and Information Physics at the University of Tokyo. Here, you can find the information on graduate school and department admissions. It's important to note that Japan's admission cycle generally differs from that of many foreign countries by about half a year. Additionally, there may be special admission for the English program as an alternative.
More broadly, graduate students with a strong interest in our research who are enrolled at either a domestic or international university have the opportunity to conduct research at RIKEN. This is contingent upon a mutual agreement between the student's home university and RIKEN. Please contact:
